Take Brighton Blvd North, turn right after overpass to stay on Brighton then thru the Oil Refinery, and turn Left on Colorado Blvd. Turn left onto 64th Ave and continue to Monroe St. The entrance is the first driveway on the right PAST Monroe St on 64th Ave next to the corner house. The gate is marked Mountain States Asphalt, continue past buildings towards the back of the lot, then to the left. Do not stop or park in the front area.
This event is a Legal Defense Fundraiser to fight unjust DUI laws in NV.
While traveling in NV on my way to Burning Man this year I was stopped by the Washoe County Sheriff for having an expired tag (I know, stupid me, don't attract attention or give them a reason to pull you over). While handing over my Driver License, Registration and Insurance the officer noticed my Colorado Medical Marijuana permit in my wallet (again, should have hidden it or left it at home!). He immediately handcuffed me and called for backup. They arrested me and charged me with DUI, even though I was not high or in any way impaired. They did not find or smell any Marijuana, and witnesses heard the first officer tell the second officer that my driving was fine and yet they also added on a charge of careless driving.
You see the law in NV states that you are guilty of a D.U.I. if you have more than 2ng/ml of THC in your blood. You would have this level of THC in your blood if you have smoked any Marijuana up to THREE DAYS previously. It has nothing to do with impairment or safety, and that makes their law illegal and a restraint on free trade as protected by the US Constitution. This unjust law has been found valid in NV courts, and so the only way to overturn it is to bring it into Federal Jurisdiction, which for NV is the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco. I think they will rule favorably if we can bring it before them.
